Each centre uses Te Whariki - The Early Childhood Curriculum as the basis for their curriculum and programme.
This covers the areas belonging, well-being, contribution, communication and exploration. Teachers celebrate children’s learning, interests and strengths and document the learning in their individual portfolio. These are compiled by the teaching team.
We have a centre philosophy which is the basis of our teaching practice, beliefs and aspirations for children at ABC EDUCARE. Each centre also has their own philosophy which encompasses the specific practices and beliefs of the teachers in that centre.
Respectful practice is the foundation of our philosophy and this is woven in to all aspects of our centre practices, programmes, interactions and relationships.
