Our curriculum is based on the principles, strands and goals of Te Whāriki the Early Childhood Curriculum.
The children’s routines and rituals are viewed as an important part of the curriculum and learning experiences are woven throughout the day.
The environment is prepared to foster creativity, promote wonder and discovery and encourage children’s natural curiosity and desire to explore and learn.
Teachers use the language of the virtues to embrace each child’s mana (uniqueness), guide our teaching practices and develop our relationships with our tamariki and their whanau. We believe the Virtues are a significant aspect of the respectful programme we offer.
Jade and I feel very privileged to be the owners of ABC EDUCARE.
We are extremely honoured to be part of a team of highly skilled, experienced and compassionate teachers.
I have been part of the ABC whanau since 1997 when I started as a student whilst completing my Diploma of Teaching ECE. Over the years I have worked in all areas of the centre from teacher to Team Leader, Assistant Manager to Manager as well as being hands on in many maintenance ventures throughout the centre.
Jade and I have two children; our son Jax and daughter Quinn both are ‘ABC graduates’ and now attend Francis Douglas Memorial College and New Plymouth Girls High School. Jade is a graphic designer/art director at About Image which he is a part-owner of.
We looking forward to forming positive partnerships with you as we share in the care and education of your precious children.
